Oval Basketry- A two day course

Service Description

On this 2 day course we will be making a traditional oval base. You can then choose to turn your basket into a laundry basket, shopping basket, log basket or trug. We will start by looking at the difference between a traditional French oval base and a traditional English 'underfoot' oval base. After making your base you will use various different techniques for the sides of your basket, followed by a rod border or plait and handles or finger holes. Previous basketry experience or being practically minded will be an advantage for this course. Price includes all materials.
